Troops of the 54 Infantry Division at the request of medical authorities at Mannar Hospital voluntarily donated their blood for the benefit of patients who are under treatment at Mannar Hospital on Friday (9 June) during arrangements, made at Mannar Town Hall.
The programme was launched under the guidance of Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP USP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding, 54 infantry Division and Brigadier T.C Harasgama RSP, Brigade Commander of the 543 Infantry Brigade.
More than 110 troops serving in the 54 Infantry Division with troops of under command Brigades and Battalions donated their blood during the event.
