In parallel with the World’s Environment Day, 8 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) troops of the 642 Infantry Brigade of the 64 Infantry Division extending their community assistance further cleaned up the Shivam Kovil premises in Kilinochchi on Tuesday (6 June).
Similarly, troops of the 23 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) and 17(Volunteer) Gajaba Regiment (GR) jointly cleared large heaps of garbage in the same Kovil premises on the following day (07 June 2023).
Troops separated plastic waste from other pollutants and dispatched them for re-cycling.
