The Defence Services’ Motor Racing Championship - 2023 conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force at Colombo Supercross Racing Track at Welisara during 16-17 March 2023 was won by riders of the Sri Lanka Army.
The Army riders securing 184 points emerged overall winners and the Sri Lanka Air Force with 126 points clinched the runner-up trophy. Accordingly, Sri Lanka Army riders carried 5 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. 7 riders of the Sri Lanka Army participated in all 5 events in the championship.
The trophy for the Best Rider was awarded to Corporal H.M.J.S Premarathne of the Sri Lanka Army.
Major General Indu Samarakoon, Chairman, Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Committee gave away the much needed guidance for competitors.
