SLCMP Selects Best Basketball Players for SLCMP Team

The Inter Unit Basketball Tournament - 2023 of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP), organized by the Special Investigation Unit of the SLCMP with the intention of selecting new members to the regimental basketball team got underway on Thursday (30 March) at the basketball court of the SLCMP Regimental Headquarters.

The tournament was organized under the guidance of Major General Anil Illangakoon, Colonel Commandant of SLCMP and Commander of Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaittivu.

The qualifying rounds were held on 20 and 21 of March 2023 and the final tussle got underway between the "A" team of the School of Military Police and 1 SLCMP team where the 1 SLCMP won the championship after a close tussle. Towards the end, the chief guest and Senior Officers awarded certificates and incentives to the achievers.

Senior Officers, Officers and a large crowd of SLCMP troops witnessed the final encounter at the SLCMP RHQ premises.
