Newly-Appointed 68 Infantry Division GOC Interacts with His Troops

Major General Senaka Kasthurimudali, the newly-appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 68 Infantry Division recently conducted visits to 6 Sri Lanka National Guard (6 SLNG) and 9 SLNG camps on 20 March 2023 and 02 April 2023 respectively with the intention of inquiring about the well-being of his troops.

The GOC was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officers of respective units at each entrance after he was greeted with Guard Turnouts, presented by the troops. Moments later, he was invited to plant saplings and pose for group photographs before he was briefed by the Commanding Officers on their role and tasks.

Before marking the departure from the compounds, he jotted down a few complimentary notes in visitors’ books at each location. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were associated with the events.
