A contingent of Army personnel serving in the 14 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) of the 613 Infantry Brigade under the 61 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - West launched a beach cleaning project along the Unawatuna beachfront in Galle on 06 April 2023.
The programme was conducted under the directions of the Commander, Security Forces-West and the General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division. Similarly, Commander 613 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 14 (V) GW Battalion closely monitored the project.
A total of 40 Army personnel actively participated in this community project.
