SLAC Troops with Outside Support Erect New House for Fellow Soldier

4 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (4SLAC) troops giving utmost attention to a deserving soldier of the 4 SLAC constructed a new house for him at Bakamuna with sponsorship provided by ‘Urumayata Jeewayak’ and ‘Digital 400’ organization.

The project initiated on a suggestion made by Major General D.B.S.N Bothota RWP RSP USP psc, Colonel Commandant of SLAC and Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna.

4 SLAC 18th Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel D.P.A.S.A Witharana psc along with the financial contribution of all the Officers and Other Ranks enabled the beneficiary to buy the land for the construction.

‘Urumayata Jeewayak’ and ‘Digital 400’ organizations sponsored the construction of the house with the manpower provided by 4 SLAC troops.

The recipient, 4 SLAC soldier and his wife met with an accident last year and received serious injuries. At present, the affected soldier is receiving treatment at ‘Abhimansala 3’ wellness resort, Pangolla.
