Defence Services Rugby Team Defeats Indian National Rugby Team during Friendly Tussle

The touring India's National Rugby team who underwent a training session with teams of the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force during April 19 to April 26 finally vied in a friendly encounter with the Defence Services Rugby team on Monday (24 April) at the Air Force Rugby Ground in Ratmalana.

During the friendly tussle, the Defence Services team secured the win obtaining 31 points against 30 points, marking an exciting end to the training session. 08 Sri Lanka Army rugby players also represented the Defence Services Rugby team together with Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force players.

Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, Commander of the Air Force and President of the Defence Services Sports Board graced the friendly encounter as the chief guest, together with Captain Vikas Sood, Defence Advisor to the Indian High Commission, Brigadier B.K Aludeniya RWP, Defence Services Rugby Team Manager, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.
