61 Infantry Division HQ Provides Free Meals & Refreshments During 'Vesak'

The 61 Infantry Division Headquarters in Boossa, along with their under command Brigades and Battalions, held a rice 'Dansela’ and a Vesak Zone on 05 May 2023.

The 61 Infantry Division Headquarters, Brigades, and Battalions worked tirelessly to prepare and serve delicious food varieties and refreshments to the devotees during this free eatery. As dusk fell, the General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division, Major General H.M.U Herath RWP RSP USP Hdmc psc with his Brigade Commanders and the Commanding Officers switched on Vesak illuminations and decorations in and around the camp.

The beautiful decorations, delicious food, and warm hospitality provided by the troops to those passers by during the Vesak day and the day after proved a great attraction on the Colombo-Galle main road. The project was conducted with the blessings of the Commander, Security Forces-West.
