New Director, Directorate of Veteran Affairs Takes Over Duties

Brigadier D.C.C.D.R Waidyasekara RSP of the Gajaba Regiment assumed office as the New Director, Directorate of Veteran Affairs at the Army Headquarters on Monday (8 May) during a brief ceremony.

Upon arrival at the new office, the newly-appointed Director at Directorate of Veteran Affairs left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office. Prior to this new appointment, he served as the Commandant, Ranaviru Resource Center at Hekiththa, Wattala.

Staff Officers of the Directorate and Other Ranks joined the occasion. He succeeds Brigadier M. Mayadunna RSP USP who has just retired from the Army.
