Army Elle Team Clinches 'Praveen Challenge Trophy'

The Elle Team of the Sri Lanka Army showcased their talents, exceptional skills and the team work to win the 'Praveen Challenge Trophy' Elle Tournament on Saturday (20 May 2023) at Bangadeniya, Karukkuliya college playground.

Accordingly, the enthusiastic players of the Sri Lanka Army Elle Team won the first match against the Wennappuwa Basilika Sports Club Elle team and advanced to the finals against the Elle team of Bangagiriya Challengers' Sports Club.

However, the Sri Lanka Army Elle Team in an exciting tussle was able to score 16 runs in their innings against Bangagiriya Sports Club by nine runs. The awards inclusive of best batter in the finals was won by Corporal S.T Priyashantha while the Man of the Tournament was awarded to Private W.C.C Madusanka.

The teamwork of the Elle Team of Sri Lanka Army was particularly impressive throughout the tournament and at the same time, their victory in the Praveen Challenge Trophy Elle Tournament is a testimony to their hard work and dedication to the sport.
