A group of 50 civil employees serving the Army Commander’s Secretariat, Directorate of Management and Maintenance, Administration and Ceremonial Battalion, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) and the Officers’ Mess were the recipients of free relief dry ration packs during a brief ceremony, held at the Army Seva Vanitha Unit office premises on Monday (31).
Sponsored by the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) in response to a request, made by Mrs Janaki Liyanage, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit, the distribution ceremony got underway with Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army as the Chief Guest who together with Mrs Janaki Liyanage and sponsors gave away those dry ration packs.
Chief Executive Officer, CSE, Mr Rajeeva Bandaranayake, Senior Regulatory Officer, CSE, Mr Renuka Wijewardene, Senior Assistant Manager, CSE, Mr Seraj Obeysekara, CSE official, Ms Shashini Suwaris and Colonel Coordinator, ASVU, Colonel Nalindra Mahavithana were present at this ceremony.
The Army Chief and Mrs Janaki Liyanage exchanged views with CSE sponsors and thanked them for their gesture.
