Arrangements made by troops of 23 Sri Lanka Light Infantry under command to the 592 Brigade of the 59 Division under the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu enabled 100 needy students of 7 schools in the region to receive free school shoes after inviting all of them to the Vidyananda College premises in Mullaittivu on Saturday (8).
'Ambitions Holdings Private Limited' at the request of Army troops sponsored the purchase of those shoes. Sponsors, Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Commander Security Forces - Mullaittivu, together with the General Officer Commanding, 59 Division, 591 and 592 Brigade Commanders attended the distribution ceremony.
Principals, teachers and students, belonging to all seven schools, parents, organizing officers and other ranks were present at the time of the distribution of those incentives.
