A meeting on Green Agriculture project was held at the 59 Infantry Division HQ in Nandikadal, Mullaithivu on 20th December 2021 in order to strategize possibilities for adoption of production methods, identification of relevant issues and other practical aspects, related to implementation of organic fertilizer use in the area.
The meeting attended by the Additional District Secretary-Mullaitivu, Resident Project Manager Mahaweli Authority-System L, District Director of Agriculture, Assistant Provincial Commissioner Agrarian Development, Assistant Director National Fertilizer Secretariat-Mullaitivu District, and the Regional Marketing Manager -Ceylon Fertilizer Co. Ltd, together with the General Officer Commanding of the 59 Division, Major General G D Sooriyabandara.
Brigade Commanders of the 591, and 592 Brigades and also the representatives from SFHQ -MLT, 59, 64 and 68 Divisions inclusive of the Civil Affairs Officers of all Divisions and Brigades were present.
