12 Under Privileged School Students Get Educational Support Thru Army Initiative

The chief incumbent at Awaranthulawa Sri Chethiyagiri historic temple, the Operation and Training Officer of the 2nd Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment, principal and teachers were among the participants to award school accessories to 12 poverty-stricken students at Palayauruwa Primary school in Vavuniya District on Monday (20), following sponsorship lent by one Mr. Chamara Priyashantha from Colombo

The event was organized with the blessings of Major General Champaka Ranasinghe, Wanni Commander and the General Officer Commanding, 21 Division, Major General Mohan Rathnayaka in order to upgrade educational standards of the students in remote areas. Commander, 213 Brigade, Colonel L.G.J.N Ariyathilaka with the Commanding Officer, 2 Mechanized Infantry Regiment organized the donation.
