Finals in Wanni Inter Division Basketball Championship Held

The finals of the Inter Division Basketball Championship of the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni -2021 got underway during 14, 15 and 17th December at the Basketball Court of SFHQ-Wanni where the Commander, Security Forces -Wanni Major General Champaka Ranasinghe witnessed as the Chief Guest.

The General Officer Commanding 62 Division Major General Upali Gunasekera closely supervised the tournament and its final contests. 54 Division players carried away this year's Championship while the trophy for the Runners up slot went to the players of the 21 Division. Trooper H.A.S Dilshan won the medal for the Best Shooter and Sergeant A.M.P.K Attanayake won the medal for the Best Player in the tournament.

After the finals, the Chief Guest together with the General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and senior officers gave away awards, trophies and certificates to the winners. The culmination of the awards ceremony was held strictly adhering to health protocols and preventive guidelines.
