The Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) awarded a Guard Turnout salute to the Colonel Commandant Major General Indu Samarakoon on account of the 72nd anniversary and Corps Day when he arrived at the SLEME Regimental Centre on Sunday (12).
The formal procedures commenced with the Guard Turnout and an All Rank lunch followed at the ORs mess with the participation of Colonel Commandant, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks representing all the EME Battalions.
Similarly, commemoration of SLEME fallen ones was also observed on Friday (3) under the guidance of the Colonel Commandant in-front of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers School with the participation of close relatives of fallen soldiers in a dignified manner.
Centre Commandant, Brigadier S.A Pathirana, Commandant of EME school, Colonel R.T Lokuthotahewa, Senior Officers and Other Ranks participated in the social programme.
