Considering nutrition factor of pregnant women of low-income group families in the general area of Diyatalawa, the Security Force Headquarters - Central on the instructions of Major General Samantha Silva, Commander, Security Forces - Central initiated and coordinated the supply of free nutrients and all accessories, needed after delivery to 25 needy women in the area on Thursday (9) during a simple arrangement, held at the Diyatalawa ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school.
The community project supported by ‘Anchor’ Fontera Company Ltd with supply of milk powder packets and nutrients and also by Ven Buddhiyama Dhammasena Thero, Incumbent, Beliatta Sri Sudharmashrama Temple with all necessary baby accessories, like soap, powder, mosquito nets, pampers, shampoo, combs, etc.
A group of senior officers at the SFHQ-Cen including, Brigadier Administrative and Quartering of the SFHQ-Cen, Brigadier G.K.I Vithanachchi, Brigadier Administration of the SFHQ-Cen, Brigadier D.C.C.D.R Waidyasekera, Brigadier Coordination and Brigadier N.D.P Jayatilake were present at the distribution programme.
