652 Brigade Troops with Own Funds & Donors Build One more House

10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops of the 652 Brigade under the 65 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) further expanding their community-oriented projects built one more house for a needy family in Kidapidichchikulam, Naddankandal area and formally vested in the beneficiary on Monday (15).

Sponsorship for construction of this new house to the poverty-stricken beneficiary, Mrs Jeganthi Liyanage Nilanka, a mother with children was provided jointly by 652 Brigade troops and a few donors, including Mrs Devika Edirisinghe and Mrs Hashini Kumarage.

The project launched as one of the 652 Brigade’s community roles was supported by the SFHQ-W on the instructions of Major General Champaka Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni and it was implemented on the guidelines given by the General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, Major General Anil Samarasiri and under the supervision of Commander, 652 Brigade, Brigadier Sanjeewa Wanasekara

Major General Anil Samarasiri and Brigadier Sanjeewa Wanasekara, Commanding Officer, 10 SLLI Major D.S Sooriyaarachci and 10 SLLI troops were associated with the day’s warming ceremony.
