Ms Tara Feodora Montgomery, Head of Operations, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Colombo called at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on Wednesday (10) during a visit undertaken to the Jaffna peninsula.
She was accompanied by Mr Ignacio Javier Martin, ICRC Head for Vavuniya and they were warmly welcomed by Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku, the Commander Security Forces Jaffna on their arrival at the SFHQ-J.
During the meeting held at the SFHQ-J, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna enlightened them on the current roles and tasks of the troops in the peninsula and the general situation in regard to nation building roles and security.
Ms Tara Feodora Montgomery at the end of the visit signed the visitors’ book and left memories before her departure.
