A stock of 500 kg of organic fertilizer, produced by the Army School of Logistics (ASL) at Trincomalee in parallel with the Army’s full scale support behind the government’s organic fertilizer production drive was delivered to the Security Force HQ - East (SFHQ-E) on 25 October by Brigadier Ranjan Jayasekara, Commandant, ASL.
The project got underway inside the ASL premises for three months with the support of Officers and Other Ranks under the guidance of the ASL Commandant in an attempt to support the national drive that could mitigate the dangers of chemicals, consumed by the people by way of chemical fertilizer.
