Newly-promoted SLSR Senior Officer Saluted at His Regimental HQ in Ambepussa

The newly-promoted Major General Dinesh Nanayakkara, Military Liaison Officer at the Ministry of Defence was felicitated on Thursday (21) at the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) regimental centre in Ambepussa during a simple ceremony, adhering to health guidelines.

The newly-promoted senior officer was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant - SLSR, Brigadier M.G.W Wimalasena on behalf of the Colonel of the Regiment SLSR on arrival after a Guard Turnout greeted him.

A subsequent Guard of Honour saluted the day's Chief Guest at the parade ground before he was invited to plant a sapling in the compound after floral tributes to fallen SLSR War Heroes were made at the SLSR Regimental Monument.

Colonel of the Regiment SLSR and General Officer Commanding - 11 Division, Major General Kithsiri Liyanage, together with Officers and Other Ranks of the SLSR joined the felicitation ceremony.
