Troops of the 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 17(V) Vijayabhahu Infantry Regiment under 561 Infantry Brigade on account of the 24th Anniversary of the 56 Division, with the sponsorship of Mr Prasad Lokubalasooriya of ‘Manushathwaye Sahana Yathrawa” in Colombo donated 50 dry ration packs among 50 needy families in Kanagarayankulam and Nedunkerny areas on 17 October 2021.
General officer Commanding, 56 Division Major General Laksiri Perera graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event took place under the supervision of Brigadier Priyanga Kulathilaka, Commander 561 Brigade.
