Troops of the 112 Brigade under the 11 Division of the Security Force HQ - Central assisted the motorcade carrying the ‘crest-gem’ and the ‘sacred pinnacle’ (Koth Wahanse) of the ‘Sanda Hiru Seya’ pagoda when it arrived in the general area of Muthiyanganaya in the Badulla District on Thursday (7).
The exposition of the ‘Crest-Gem’ and the ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ of the 'Sanda Hiru' Stupa for public veneration was inaugurated at the Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo amidst religious blessings of the Maha Sangha on 5th August and it is taken in a religious procession to 48 temples in 18 districts for exposition having toured over 47 days around the island.
112 Brigade Commander and the General Officer Commanding, 11 Division supervised the troops on the directions of the Commander, Security Forces-Central.
