New Deputy Chief of Staff Felicitated at His Regimental HQ

A ceremony was held to felicitate and extend congratulations to Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) upon recent assumption of office as the 36th Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of the Sri Lanka Army on Saturday (25) at the SLA Regimental Headquarters premises, Panagoda.

Featuring the traditional event, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda at first offered floral tributes to the memory of fallen SLA War Heroes who made the supreme sacrifice in the name of our motherland. Then, he was invited to review the Guard Turnout, presented by troops at the Regimental Headquarters before he received the salute accorded in a Guard of Honour, mounted by Regimental troops in conformity with military traditions.

All officers present afterwards posed for a group photograph with the Deputy Chief of Staff and the day’s proceedings culminated with an All Rank tea at mess hall of the 4th Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment in the premises, strictly adhering to all precautionary measures against COVID - 19 pandemic.
