Troops of the 22 Vijayabahu Regiment (VIR) of the 222 Brigade under the 22 Division of the Security Force HQ- East donated two cattle to a low-income family in Trincomalee District on Saturday (07) in order to give a helping hand to improve their livelihood.
This worthy act was conducted on the instructions of Major General Sanath Aluvihare, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 22 Division under the supervision of the Commander 222 Brigade, Brigadier M.G.W Wimalasena.
An Officer and few Other Ranks of the 22 VIR went to the doorstep of the beneficiary, Mr G.M.S Ekanayake who resides in Serunuwara and handed over those two cattle.
