Major General Shiran Abeysekara of the Sri Lanka Artillery assumed office as the 11th Director General Financial Management at Financial Management Branch at the Army Headquarters on Monday (2) during a brief ceremony.
After simple religious observances, the newly-appointed General Financial Management left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office. Prior to this new appointment, he served as the Director-General Rehabilitation.
Staff Officers of the Branch and Other Ranks joined the occasion. He succeeds Major General Chandana Kumara Handunmulla who just retired from the Army.
