As of this morning (22), a total of 1,604 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 38 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,566 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 486 from Colombo District, 279 from Gampaha District, 213 from Kalutara District and 588 others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (22), a total of 289,576 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 180,604 were reported after the New Year.
By Thursday (22) morning (past 24 hours), 930 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 20 July, 47 more deaths have been reported including 26 males and 21 females.
As of Thursday (22), 4,481 persons in 65 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Thursday (22), morning, 755 persons have left 15 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.
By this morning (22), lower section in Godiyagala GN Division in Bogawanthalawa Police Division in Nuwara Eliya District was released from isolation.
