Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna once again extended their technical, engineering and manpower support to build one more new house to another underprivileged family in Sangarathai, Jaffna after their desperate plight was brought to the notice of Major General Priyantha Perera, Commander Security Force Jaffna.
Financial contribution for construction of this new house to the beneficiary, Mr Rasadurai Amudhpriya with family members was donated by the well-known philanthropist, Mr Kumar Weerasooriya at the request of the SFHQ-J.
The troops belonging to the 11 Sri Lanka Light Infantry provided much-required manpower for the construction work expeditiously under the supervision of Commander 513 Brigade of the 51 Division within a few weeks.
A simple ceremony, adhering to health precautions, held on Tuesday (13) saw the new house was vested in the beneficiary by Major General Priyantha Perera - Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna who was instrumental in launching the project.
At the same occasion, the beneficiaries were gifted dry ration packs and essential household items, needed for the family and the house, together with some school stationery needed for education of the children of the family.
