Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Commander, Security Forces - East recently made an inspection tour in the 22 Division area.
At first, he visited the Recruit Training School at Thawulwewa where he had a word with the staff in the Training School regarding the facilities and accessories, available at the premises. He also planted a mango sapling to mark his visit.
Later on, he visited the proposed Headquarters premises of the 221 Brigade at Kumburupiddi and observed the ongoing construction work.
Meanwhile, Major General Channa Weerasuriya paying his obeisance to religious sentiments called on the Chief Incumbent at Rangiri Ulpatha Raja Maha Viharaya, Gomarankadawala Ven. Ahungalle Siri Seelawisuddhi Nayake Thero and received blessings.
