Troops of 1 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) at Kuttigala detachment planted turmeric seeds in a land extent of 5 acres inside their camp premises in consultation with officials at Ministry of Plantations on Sunday (04).
This project that coincides with the 'Thuru Mithuru Nawaratak' of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva would be a very productive and profitable one.
Major Genral Kumara Hadunmulla, Colonel Commandant, SLAGSC guided Lieutenant Colonel C.S Demuni, Commanding Officer 1SLAGSC to carry out the project with the Officer Commanding of the detachment.
