6 Gajaba Regiment troops of the 233 Brigade HQ, together with 233 Brigade troops coordinated the distribution of 65 dry ration packs, sponsored by Lion Club of Batticaloa Branch among selected needy families in the general area of Koonjankulam on Saturday (3).
The project was carried out on the directions of the Colonel Wasantha Hewage, Commander 233 Brigade considering economic difficulties, faced by civilians during COVID-19 pandemic in the country. President, Lion Club Batticaloa Branch and the staff who provided the sponsorship for this worthy project joined the distribution.
The Commander 23 Division Major General Nalin Koswatte, Commander, 233 Brigade Colonel Wasantha Hewage, Commanding Officer, 6 Gajaba Regiment, Civil Affairs Officer 233 Brigade and 6 Gajaba Regiment troops participated in the event.
