As of this morning (07), a total of 934 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 15 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 919 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 201 from Colombo District, 160 from Gampaha District, 102 from Kalutara District and 456 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (07), a total of 267,432 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 160,135 were reported after the New Year.
By Wednesday (7) morning (past 24 hours), 1,717 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 05 July, 45 deaths have been reported including 15 males and 30 females.
By Wednesday (7) morning, 541 persons have left 23 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (7), 6,170 persons in 80 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.
By this morning (6), the central part of the Dansinan GN Division in Kotmale Police Division in Nuwara Eliya District and Nagaraja Wallawa Place in Trincomalee Police Division in Trnicomalee District were completely released from isolation.
