SLAVF's New Brigadiers Pay Courtesies to Their Commandant

Most recently-promoted eight Brigadiers of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) recently paid a courtesy call on the SLAVF Commandant, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda at the SLAVF Headquarters.

On recommendations of the Ministry of Defence and General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, His Excellency, the President approved those respective promotions of those Senior Officers along with a few hundred of others on account of the recent War Heroes' commemoration day.

The SLAVF Commandant, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda congratulating those new one-star rankers during the meet wished them good luck with their future endeavours and attributed those promotions as endorsement of their dedicated roles, exemplary military career and hard work for the best interests of the country.

Those new Brigadiers, Brigadier Priyantha Sisira Kumara, Brigadier Susantha Jayamanne, Brigadier Mahinda Weerakoon, Brigadier Keerthi Wijeratne, Brigadier Thusitha Silva, Brigadier Shean Gunawardhane, Brigadier Lakshman Jayasundara and Brigadier Nalin Jayatilaka during the courtesy interaction thanked the SLAVF Commandant for inviting them to his office.
