1864 More Positive Cases Detected-NOCPCO

As of this morning (1), a total of 1,864 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 78 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,786 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 365 from Colombo District, 254 from Kalutara District, 221 from Gampaha District and 946 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (1), a total of 259,088 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 152,432 were reported after the New Year.

By Thursday (1) morning (past 24 hours), 2,481 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 29 June, 47 deaths have been reported including 16 males and 31 females.

By Thursday (1) morning, 896 persons have left 30 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (1), 7,588 persons in 73 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

The latest GN Divisions that came under isolation this morning (1) include Kallithreru and Kalawanthalawa Karainagar GN Division in Kayts Police Division in Jaffna District, Suduhumpola - West in Kandy Police Division in Kandy District and the Welamedaparagama GN Division in Kotmale Police Division in Nuwara Eliya District.
