Dry ration packs and cooked meal packets were distributed among 11 low income-group families in Agbopura Grama Niladari Division, enough for more than 50 family members on 15 June on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 56 Division and under the supervision of the 563 Brigade Commander.
The Divisional Secretary sponsored those relief measures due to prevailing pandemic hardships.
The programme was held in the presence of Major General Nandana Dunuwila, General Officer Commanding, 56 Division, Brigadier Panduka Perera, Commander 563 Brigade, Civil Affairs Officer and few Officers and Other Ranks also attended the project.
