Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces East, Major General Channa Weerasuriya taking their own initiative supplied a large quantity of vegetables to the Dimbulagala Forest Hermitage on Wednesday (09).
This worthy cause was launched with the generous support, extended by a few local donors where more than 200 kg of vegetable were supplied to the temple. The temple with itrs 'Pirivena' houses more than 100 bhikkus and novices who are still under tutelage.
Chief Incumbent at Kadawathmaduwa Temple Ven Vajiralankara Thero, Brigadier General Staff at the Security Force Headquarters – East, Brigadier Upul Weerakoon and the Civil Affair Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Lal Gamagedara were also associated with the donation programme.
