Troops of the 591 Brigade under command to the 59 Division of the Security Forces -Mullaittivu distributed vegetable packs among needy families in Alampil, Vidakarai, Kallapadu, Selvapuram, Wannikulam, Mulliyaweli and Wadduwakkal on Tuesday (8).
This programme was conducted on the directions of Major General P.D Suriyabandara, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 59 Division by Brigadier Sujeewa Perera, Commander 591 Brigade.
The GOC 59 Division, Commanding Officers of 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) & 24 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), Civil Affairs Officer of 591 Brigade, Chairman Fishing community of Mullaittivu, PHI Mullaittivu and a few others witnessed the distribution.
