Renovated SLAVF Premises to Get New Entrance Archway

Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force laid the foundation stone for construction of the archway at the entrance to the newly-renovated Headquarters premises of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) in Seethawaka on Wednesday (2).

Prior to the inaugural event, the first sod of soil for the new entrance was cut by the Commandant, SLAVF at the auspicious minute.

Deputy Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Major General Christy Jayasinghe, Principal Staff Officer Brigadier Rohitha Aluvihare along with other Senior Officers were present at the occasion.

A few serving members who were within a bio-bubble participated in the event. The ceremony was conducted following health guidelines issued for COVID-19 pandemic.
