The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) HQ adorned its compound adding a new state-of-the art utility building complex, inclusive of a modern cafeteria and vested it in the SLAVF troops on Tuesday (1) during a brief ceremony, attended by Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Commandant - SLAVF.
The utility building, comprised of a cafeteria, tailor shop, salon and a laundry fulfils the needs of SLAVF troops by way of welfare facilities. The laundry services after this inauguration are provided free of charge to all serving SLAVF members on a suggestion, made by the SLAVF Commandant.
The simple opening ceremony, held adhering to health regulations was attended by the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Major General Christy Jayasinghe and several other senior officers.
