Troops of the 591 Brigade under command to the 59 Division of the Security Force HQ- Mullaittivu, prior to the New Year Kovil Pooja procession at Kannagi Amman Hindu temple in Wattappalai took steps to clean the compound surroundings and washed up the main road that leads to the temple premises on 10 April.
