The Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna organized another community-related programme for needy families at Navathkuli village on the eve of the Sinhala and Hindu New Year Festival with the support of a philanthropist from the South.
This donation programme was launched by 12 Gemunu Watch troops under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera on Tuesday (13).
Commander Security Force Jaffna graced this donation programme as the Chief Guest and handed out those items, needed for celebration of the annual festival.
Those gift parcels included rice, dhal, milk packets, tinned fish, dried fish, cereals, spices, sugar, etc in addition to fresh vegetables for use among those underprivileged families in the village.
After receiving the New Year gift packs, respective beneficiaries highly appreciated the Army’s commitment and motivation by launching such charity services.
