Deputy Chief of Staff Undertakes Formal Visit to Ordnance School

Major General Wasantha Madola, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army made a formal visit to the School of Ordnance at Dombagoda on Thursday (01).

A drive past Guard Turnout greeted him before the School's Commandant, Lieutenant Colonel Tharanga Silva welcomed him. He was invited to plant a Mango sapling to mark his visit to the location and was briefed on the training curriculum of the School by the Commandant.

During the visit, the visiting Deputy Chief of Staff inspected model rooms, accommodation area and camp premises before he addressed the troops as a formality.

During the troops address, he appreciated the training standards and facilities available at the School of Ordnance and also commended the Commandant and all ranks for the efforts they have taken to maintain the camp to match with high professional standards.

The Centre Commandant Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Brigadier Jagath Gamage, Director Ordnance Services, Brigadier Priyantha Weerasinghe and Senior Officers from various Directorates of the AHQ also participated in the event.
