‘Sappers Super Draw - 2020’ Picks Lottery Winners

The ‘Sappers Super Draw - 2020’, the fund-raiser to strengthen welfare facilities for all ranks in the Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) took place on Friday (04) at the ‘Lt Gen N.K.B Angammana’ Memorial Auditorium at the SLE Regimental Headquarters at Panagoda, headed by Major General Jagath Gunawardena, Colonel Commandant, SLE and Chief of Staff of the Army in the presence of a representative gathering of Officers and Other Ranks.

Major General Jagath Gunawardena graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and drew the first few lotteries to pick the winners. The ‘Sappers Super Draw - 2020’ was conducted by the National Lotteries Board (NLB) with the participation of Mr Munidasa Kandambi, the veteran announcer and the NLB advertising officer, Mr Achala Jayathilaka, Assistant General Manager (Information Technology) NLB, Mr Kasin Mendis, Information Technology Officer, Mr Niroshan Wijewardene, Procument Officer NLB and Mr Shaminda Perera, Chief Executive Officer Lithium Technologies.

The Draw was previously scheduled to be held at the Defence Services College, Colombo but had to be postponed as per health guidelines and restrictions with the outbreak of COVID - 19 pandemic in the country.
