Commander SF - Wanni Evaluates Relief Measures in Place for Affected Families

Major General Priyantha Perera, Commander, Security Forces-Wanni during the weekend toured cyclone-affected areas in Mannar's 54 Division and reviewed stand by measures in place with special focus on relief measures.

More than 700 families, affected in the cyclone have been evacuated to safe places by Saturday (5) and they have been accommodated in safe locations such as Sittivinagar College, Pallemunei St Lucia's College, Shanthipuram Church and Eluthur Mother Theresa School until the situation returns to normalcy.

The Security Force Commander-Wanni visited these places and inspected their accommodation facilities and other requirements.
