Newly-Promoted Two Seniors in 'Sinha' Family Honoured & Felicitated at SLSR RHQ

Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) Regimental Headquarters (RHQ) at Ambepussa on Friday (05) extended felicity to two of its most recently-promoted SLSR senior officers, Major General Ajith Pallawela and Major General Kithsiri Liyanage when both of them arrived there after elevation to their new ranks.

The Centre Commandant, Brigadier Dammika Dissanayake on behalf of the Colonel of the Regiment, together with the Secretary to the SLSR-Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Shiromi Bandara welcomed both Senior Officers and their family members respectively on arrival at the SLSR RHQ premises before they were invited to receive formal Guard Turonout salute before they were escorted separately to the special dais in the parade ground.

Elegantly-dressed SLSR soldiers afterwards saluted both of them separately after the parade commander reported the Gurard of Honour preparations to both protagonists of the day inviting to review and receive the salute in keeping with military traditions. A few minutes late, they also planted saplings in the RHQ premises to mark this memorable occasion before they venerated the memory of late SLSR War Heroes at the Monument by placing floral wreaths.

Bringing the first segment of the proceedings to end, they both joined for a tea with All Ranks at the Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess where both of them had the chance of sharing pleasantries and a few thoughts with the gathering.

The day's event concluded with a lunch, hosted in honour of the new Majors General by Colonel of the Regiment and all Officers at the Officers' Mess. They were offered best wishes by Major General Hemantha Bandara, Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and General Officer Commanding 12 Division who also gave away two mementos to both of them as gestures of appreciation. latest Nike release | Nike Shoes, Clothing & Accessories
