More Flights Arrive with Expatriates - NOCPCO

As of this morning (5), a total of 521 including three expatriates, a foreigner and 342 locally-identified majority from Colombo, 91 from Kandy and 44 from Kalutara were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (5), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 23,001. Meanwhile, 16,030 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from both Minuwangoda (3,059) and fish market (19,942) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

Up to yesterday (4), a total of 26,558 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country, including the dead. 19,437 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,991 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

In the past 24 hours by this morning (5), 406 persons recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. To-date, 130 COVID-19 positive deaths have been reported. Yesterday’s 01 death was from Piliyandala area.

By this morning (5), the flight EY 264 from Abu Dhabi with 82 passengers, the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 48 passengers, the flight UL1206 from India with 45 passengers, the flight UL 218 from Qatar with 288 passengers and the flight UL 867 from China with 02 passengers have arrived in Colombo. The flight UL 102 with 33 passengers from the Maldives and the flight UL554 from Germany with a passenger are expected to arrive in the country. They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.

As of this morning (5), 6,313 persons in 63 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (4), 13,664 PCR tests were carried out.latest Running | Air Jordan Sneakers
