New 532 Brigade Commander Assumes Office

Brigadier Anil Perera assumed duties as the new Commander of the 532 Brigade, amid religious blessings at the Headquarters in Wellankulam - Vavunia on Friday (20).

The newly-appointed Commander of the 532 Brigade of the 53 Division was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honoured in a Guard Turnout, presented by 4 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops. Afterwards, Brigadier Anil Perera placed his signature in the first official document to mark his assumption of duties in the presence of a few Senior Officers.

Brigadier Anil Perera, prior to this new appointment served as the 651 Brigade Commander in Mulankavil.

An All Rank tea, planting of a sapling and the formal address to the Officers, and Other Ranks culminated the day’s proceedings. Commanding Officers and Brigade staff were present at the occasion.
