Troops Educate People in Remote Areas on COVID-19 Pandemic

Troops serving the 652 Brigade in Anavilandankulam conducted a poster campaign to educate the civilians on preventive measures against COVID-19 with special focus on its adverse after-effects and how it would affect the general health on Friday (06). The campaign covered largely of interior remote areas, like Akkarayankulam, Anavilandankulam, Konavil, Skandapuram and Uniyankulam where people do not have access to electronic media.

The programme was launched on the direction of the Commander 652 Brigade, Brigadier Anil Perera on the instructions of the 65 Division GOC, and posters to that effect were provided by the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) in Colombo.
