A trio of officers of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) securing first places in order of merits in the Unit Commanders Course No 7, Junior Command Course No 19 and Junior Staff Course No 19 in the Buttala Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) for the first time from the same regiment added a new record to the OCDC as it was the first such coincidence of this nature in this seat of military learning.
Major W.P.D.N Abeyrathne of SLSC, Major T.S.N.K Peiris of SLSC and Captain T.K Ramasinghe of SLSC who followed above courses respectively achieved the first place in order of merits and carried away graduation certificates and awards during the graduation ceremony, held on Friday (9) at the OCDC.
The Commandant of the OCDC, Major General Jayanath Jayaweera graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and distributed those achievement certificates and awards amid a gathering of fellow Course Officers.
